I’ve read somewhere that opportunities arrives for those that are prepared for them.
And I believe that is true. You can’t take advantage of an opportunity if you are not ready to for it, either with the skills that you have or either with your mindset. And if you are not prepared to take it, can we really call it an opportunity? Because an opportunity is “a time or set of circumstances that makes it possible to do something“(Oxford Dictionary). This past week-end, I had big plans. I wanted to write one or two chapters for Imperial Struggle, write some four to five articles for this blog, work on some other projects that I have, make some food and many other stuff. Do you know what I’ve managed to do? Almost nothing. I didn’t do any writing, and didn’t make myself any food (actually I’m doing it right now) and overall I did nothing. I spent all my weekend watching some movies, browsing on the internet and did some light reading. Continue reading Breaking down procrastination→
Have you ever analysed how you spend your day? And how many minutes and hours do you spend on meaningless activities, that don’t bring up anything of value to you or to those around you. And above all that, at the end of the day, you realize how much time you wasted on the meaningless tasks and feel like shit. Continue reading Time is of the essence!→
Most of the time this how a conversation starts. To the question “How are you” or “How are you doing” the response is usually automatic “I’m fine” or “I’m ok” or just “Ok”. And the tone we say fine and OK, most of the time it’s sad and without life. We almost never realise this automatism we made.
We answer in a way that even we aren’t convinced that we are fine. We just don’t want to bother the other person with our problems. The thing is the other person doesn’t want to hear your problems and he expects that you will answer “I’m ok” and move on. Continue reading I’m doing great→
I’m 25 years old. At 19 I left home and went to college. In my first year I received almost weekly a package from home with food( If you’re not from Romania you won’t understand this tradition). In my second year I told my mom to send those every 2 or 3 weeks. In my 3rd year the “package from home” almost disappeared because I wanted to learn how to cook by myself. I wanted to eat meals that were done by my own hand and by own taste. Continue reading Essential skill in life: cooking→
After I saw this video, I asked myself: What does a man mean? and What “be a man” express? Because the people from the video gave some interesting answers. From courage, strong, responsibility to insult and sexist ( WTF, but more about that below). Continue reading What does being a man mean?→
